This Horsehair and Feather Raku Vessel is 6" high and 5" wide. It has been hand burnished to prepare the unglazed surface before bisque firing. The burning smoke pattern and carbon trail on the surface is ceated by draping horsehair and feathers over the pot immediately after a second firing. This process creates patterns unque to each piece, however, the vessel remains porous and is not suitable for use as a liquid container and is not food safe.i
